The wonderful and inspiring Robot that is Jeannette Ng delivered a fantastic acceptance speech at Worldcon 2019 after winning the John W Campbell Award for Best New Writer at the Hugo Award Ceremony on 18th August. We couldn’t be prouder of her and the statements she made. We stand with her always – “Stale. Sterile. Male. White” no more.
A week away from WorldCon and things are getting SUPER exciting over here at Robot HQ. We’ve got some great author signings, author panels, giveaways and exclusive bargains planned, and we can’t wait for it all to start.
Join us for a Robot Party!
Today we also announced the pre-launch party that we’ll be hosting for The Resurrectionist of Caligo by Wendy Trimboli & Alicia Zaloga. The book doesn’t release until 10th September, but you lucky WorldCon-goers will get the chance to purchase early and chat with the authors, while enjoying a drink or two on us. All are
WorldCon is here, y’all! And we have Robots for dayyyzzzz. Below you’ll find a list of authors who will be attending the convention and taking part in panels, signings, runnings(?) and various other fun and friendly things. As always, our lovely lot will be happy to chat to anyone who wishes to talk – some will even escort you places – so please do say hi if you see them!
It’s here! It’s huge! Angry Robot authors are all set to invade Kansas City for WorldCon 74 – August 17-21. Our plans are simple – invade signings, panels, discussions, drinking events and even going for a run – the opportunities to chat and catch up are legion. Do say hi – our authors are a lovely bunch.
Our Mike Underwood will also be constantly available at our Angry Robot booth in the dealer room – booth #21. Seek him out, touch the books, meet the authors!
The WorldCon schedule is vast, and although they do have a
If there’s one thing that the Angry Robot horde love to do, it’s to crawl out of our writing holes and have a chat. Partially it’s because we need to see the light of day and socialise after a hard few months of writing, but also it’s because we love you guys. You keep us doing what we do.
So that’s why we’re all over the place this year at various conventions, exhibitions and festivals. Below is a list of where the we’ll be throughout 2015, so if you want to pop down and say hi, or you’re in the
We’re already set for a bumper evening with Anne Lyle, Mike Shevdon, Adam Christopher, Wesley Chu and Madeline Ashby at Forbidden Planet on Wednesday 13 August at 6pm, but we’re delighted to announce that Ramez Naam will also be joining us!

Anne Zanoni, friend of Angry Robot, needs you: she wants to make the journey from the States to London for WorldCon this August, and in her own words is “seeking help from fellow book lovers and fans everywhere to meet my best friend – and edit more books. No, really.”
If you can’t donate, please help spread the word!
We’re back with a live intro with Lee Harris at WorldCon, and an interview with Madeline Ashby, the author of vN, out last month from Angry Robot!
We bowled at WorldCon. It wasn’t pretty.
