Good day fellow Robots.
It’s time to feast your eyes on the cover of another spectacular tale from the old west from our very own Eric Scott Fischl. If you’ve read Dr Potter’s Medicine Show, you’ll already be familiar with loveable buffoon Solomon Parker and now he’s back, as an old man who’s made one bad gamble too many, in the marvellous mix of fantasy and spirits that is The Trials of Solomon Parker.
We have a rather mysterious and gorgeous cover to go with it – courtesy of Steven Meyer-Rassow – which you can see over at the B&N Sci-Fi & Fantasy Blog, along with a wonderful piece from Eric on gods and why bad things happen to good people.
Want to know more about the novel? Here’s the synopsis to further whet your appetite!
1916, Butte, Montana: City of the Copper Kings. Solomon Parker is old, broken and in debt to very bad people. He’s always managed to stay one step ahead of his last bad decision, but more than anything, he wishes life had turned out differently. Little does he know that for him and his young protégé, Billy Morgan, that wish is about to come true. The Above Ones, the gods of the People, are bored. Their servant, Marked Face is coming, and he’s bringing his dice…
The Trials of Solomon Parker will be unleashed on October 3 (US/Can) / October 5 (UK/RoW) and if you haven’t yet but want to get to know Solomon a little, check out Dr Potter’s Medicine Show, available now!
