Well, do we have good news for you!

Peter Tieryas’ Under States of Japan has won Japan’s most prestigious science fiction award, the Seiun!

The award, which was given for ‘best translated novel’, fought off stiff competition from the likes of Ken Liu and Ann Leckie. Congratulations to all, with extra special party poppers pointed in the direction of translator Naoya Nakahara, for his incredible translation work.

Onwards with the uprising!
