You guys may know by now that Ferrett Steinmetz is a writing genius. After his Flex trilogy concluded in September last year we were bereft, but happily Ferrett came to us with a brand new cyberpunk standalone The Uploaded. Needless to say, we loved it. But rather than us waxing lyrical about the great characters, incredible worldbuilding and super fun plot we’ll share the official synopsis right here:

Life sucks and then you die…

In the near future, the elderly have moved online and now live within the computer network. But that doesn’t stop them interfering in the lives of the living, whose sole real purpose now is to maintain the vast servers which support digital Heaven. For one orphan that just isn’t enough – he wants more for himself and his sister than a life slaving away for the dead. It turns out that he’s not the only one who wants to reset the world…

Now that we’ve whet your whistle with that we’ve got something else, too; the absolutely stunning new cover. Big props to super genius Joey HiFi for the incredible artwork, as per usual.

Just head over to the B&N Sci-Fi & Fantasy Blog for the full reveal PLUS exclusive excerpt of the first two chapters of the novel.

The Uploaded will available to all in September 2017.
