The cover of Dawnbreaker, the third in Jay Posey‘s Legends of the Duskwalker series has been fully revealed over the The Book Plank, which is also giving away two copies of the first two books in the series.

All credit for the cover goes to Steven Meyer-Rassow, who also created the brilliant covers for the other two titles in the trilogy, Three and Morningside Fall.

Dawnbreaker will be available from 4 August in the US, and 6 August in the UK and R.o.W.

Here’s a smattering of reviews from the first two books in the series to whet your appetite:

“Three is a post-apocalyptic adventure tale in the vein of The Road Warrior, only with fewer vehicles and a higher tech level and body count…Posey knows how to pour on the tension. 4.5 stars. Now I’ll twiddle my thumbs until the next Legends of the Duskwalker book comes out.”

Three will unplug you! This powerhouse of an apocalyptic read cannot and will not be denied!”
My Shelf Confessions

“I got hooked on Three within the first few pages and could not put down this thrill ride until I finished it in one hell of a marathon read…Three moves like lightning and it kept me spellbound the entire time. At the same time, characters and the world are beautifully developed, if beautiful can be applied to a deadly, desolate post-apocalyptic world where fighting for your life is a daily occurrence. I am literally counting the minutes until Book #2 is published! In case you haven’t guessed, I highly recommend Three!”
Popcorn Reads

“One of the best examples of world building I’ve seen in quite some time, gorgeously written, with a finely paced plot and characters that will break your heart. Once in a while, a book comes along that deserves more than five stars. These special few are awarded my Crystal Chandelier Award of AwesomeThree is only the second book to receive this award…so far!”
Books, Bones & Buffy

“You never know whether book #2 will be as good as book #1. Rest easy – although Morningside Fall has to take a different tone because of story development I feel its every bit as good as Three and it makes me anxious to read book #3! Mr Posey, I’m ready for the next installment!”
Popcorn Reads

“Posey has constructed a really unique world, one that steps to the side of the usual zombie tropes and provides an apocalypse that’s at once unfathomable, but also believable. That’s no mean feat.”
SF Crow’s Nest

“This is the follow-up to the book Three, which was by far one of my best reads of last year, and this one is taking its spot as my favourite read for this year.”
