If you’re anywhere near Portland, Maine, on Thursday March 8th, and if you’re the sort of wonderfully enthusiastic and delightfully bookish type of person who gets a proper kick out of helping to support local authors – and in this case an author of rather superb crime / supernatural / urban fantasy / noir crossover fiction, we might add – then you really need to run (don’t walk) down to Longfellow Books at 7.00 p.m.
For those of you without image-access on your browser:
Chris F. Holm will be signing copies of his debut novel Dead Harvest at 7.00 p.m. on Thursday March 8th at Longfellow Books in Portland, Maine.
It would be well worth your while to attend. And not just because you’ll be doing your bit to support quality genre fiction (you superstar, you) but also on the grounds that Chris is planning to bring along a bucketload of souvenir bookmarks to hand out to all comers and may even be raffling off a couple of bookish prizes during the course of the evening.
It would also be well worth your leaving the event with at least two copies of Dead Harvest in hand: one to read and one to keep as a backup, for when someone else sees your first copy left unattended for more than a second and decides to steal it for themselves. Which they will, because it just looks sooooo damned irresistible.
You can get more more info on the event via the Longfellow Books website. And here’s a handy Google map, in case you’re not familiar with the venue:
