Cover debut – Lavie Tidhar’s The Great Game
By
That man David Frankland outdoes himself with this sterling shot of alien tripod war machines attacking the Middle Eastern city of Aksum in Abyssinia. The Great Game, the third in Lavie Tidhar‘s increasingly astounding steampunk series, the Bookman Histories, will be published next February.
(When he saw this one come in, that man Lee Harris simply sat and stared, then started shouting “Yes! Yes!” in a spontaneous expression of either extreme joy or a badly misjudged parody of When Harry Met Sally. Either way, we think he liked it, and we hope you do too.)
