Kylie Chan – Blending East with West

As you know, in April we publish Kylie Chan‘s Dark Heavens trilogy in the UK, following its amazing success in Australia, where the books are enjoying their 9th printing! We’ll be publishing them in the US and Canada in May (White Tiger), June (Red Phoenix) and July (Blue Dragon).
The books are a fabulous blend of East and West, and Kylie has been interviewed about them at The Straits Times.
It was Chan’s immersion in Chinese culture while living and working in Hong Kong that actually led her to develop both her interest in Chinese mythology and to writing the books.
“It was so hard (to find information), there is so little written in English about Chinese mythology,” she explained. “When I got married there were always people talking about things and making assumptions about things I should know about.”
